Are my files really not uploaded?
Correct. Every tool runs in your browser, on your device. You can check by turning off your internet after the page loads, or by watching the Network tab in your browser's developer tools.
Is it really free?
Yes, completely. Every tool is free to use, with no sign-up, no watermarks and no limit on how many files you convert.
Can I use it without an internet connection?
Once the page has finished loading, yes. The tools do not need a connection to work. Opening the page for the first time does need one.
Which formats are supported?
Images: JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC. PDFs: merge, split, reorder, rotate, delete pages, turn pages into images, and build a PDF from images. Documents: .docx, .odt, .rtf, .txt, .md, .csv, .json, .xml, .yaml and .html to PDF, and PDF to Word, text or HTML.
Can it convert old .doc files?
No. The old .doc format cannot be read reliably in a browser. Open the file in Word or Google Docs, save it as .docx, and use that file.
Why does my Word file look simpler in the PDF?
Headings, lists and tables are kept, but images, custom fonts, colours and exact page layout are not. For a perfect copy, export to PDF from Word itself.
Why does PDF to Word lose my layout?
The tool pulls out the text and rebuilds it as paragraphs. Columns, tables and images are not kept. It works best on text documents such as letters, articles and contracts.
Why does PDF to Word say it found no text?
The PDF is probably a scan, which is a picture of text. This site cannot read scans because that needs text recognition (OCR).
Why is my compressed image sometimes bigger?
Images that are already small or heavily compressed can grow when saved again. The page tells you when this happens, so you can keep the original. Lowering the quality or the maximum width usually helps.
What does "Remove photo data" remove?
Hidden details stored in photos, such as GPS location, phone model, date taken and editing software. For JPG photos the tool also shows you what it found. Check a photo again after cleaning if you want to be sure.
Is there a file size limit?
The site sets no limit. Your device's memory sets the real one, so very large files can fail, especially on phones.
Does it change my original file?
Never. The tools create a new file, and your original stays where it was.
Why can't I merge or split my PDF?
The file may be damaged or protected with a password. Remove the password in your PDF app first, then try again.
Can it turn a video into audio?
Yes. Add an MP4, MOV, WebM or similar video and save the sound as MP3 or WAV. It works best on clips of up to about half an hour, because the whole sound is held in your device's memory. If your browser cannot read a format, such as MKV or AVI, convert it to MP4 first.
